Activision has revealed the complete BO6 season 5 roadmap, showcasing new maps, modes, weapons, and a lot more. This season not only marks the conclusion of the Dark Aether Zombies storyline, it could also lay the groundwork for the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 7.

Here’s everything coming to CoD BO6 in season five.

BO6 season 5 release date

Season five officially goes live on August 7, 2025, at 11 AM CT / 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST. To help you stay on top of the launch and get ready in advance, here’s a countdown timer so you know exactly when to jump in:

The season features four new maps and six modes, with several of them available at launch while the others are set to be released midway through the season.

Maps

  • Runway – new Core map, 6v6, medium-sized
  • Exchange – new Strike map, 6v6 or 2v2, small-sized
  • World Motor Dynasty (W.M.D.) – remastered Core map, 6v6, medium-sized
  • Jackpot (mid-season) – Core map inspired by BO4, 6v6, medium-sized

Modes

  • Aim High – this new mode challenges players to prioritize precision, offering a unique twist across core game types like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed. In this mode, headshots result in instant eliminations, while full body armor significantly reduces damage from shots below the neck.
  • Cranked Demolition (mid-season) – this new limited-time mode adds an intense twist to the classic Demolition mode by incorporating the fast-paced mechanics of Cranked.
  • Snipers Only (returning mode) (in-season)
  • Cranked Moshpit (returning mode) (in-season)
  • Ransack (returning mode) (mid-season)
